HOW CAN WE HELP?

Clients can choose a standard counseling care plan — the kind that’s most common and usually beneficial — or something more accelerated, diverse, or in-depth.

INTENSIVES

There’s a different way to get help. We begin with the foundation: a core of approaches that center around the client, their relationships and their own knowledge. So no matter who you work with or what you’re working on, you experience research-based, clinically proven care. From there, we can incorporate a variety of practices, tools, and insights. We work with what feels right, for as long as it feels right.

We can focus on, or combine, a diverse range of approaches:

  • CLIENT-CENTERED AND INSIGHT-ORIENTED
  • PSYCHOTHERAPIES
  • RELATIONAL AND PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPIES
  • COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL (CBT) THERAPIES
  • PROBLEM-SOLVING AND SOLUTION FOCUSED
  • DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL (DBT) THERAPY
  • ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT (ACT) THERAPY
  • TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPIES
  • MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING
  • COUPLE THERAPIES (GOTTMAN, EMOTION FOCUSED, DEVELOPMENTAL)
  • GROUP THERAPIES (SUPPORT, SKILLS BUILDING & EXPERIENTIAL)
  • FAMILY THERAPIES
  • LGBTQ+ AFFIRMATIVE THERAPIES
  • STRESS REDUCTION APPROACHES
  • MINDFULNESS APPROACHES

There isn’t a single place to start, or a right way to begin.

Wherever you are, whatever is going on in your life, we’re ready to partner with you and take an active role in your process. If one-on-one therapy isn’t for you yet, learn about our student, parenting, LGBTQ+, or women’s groups or workshops.

WHY CUSTOM COUNSELING SERVICES?

We see each person as an individual, deserving of a care plan that fits their needs and life. That’s why our clients can work with our service team to create individualized therapy programs. Whatever you choose, our highly personalized process offers as much flexibility and support as needed for long-term change. Our clients, like everyone, experience struggle. But with support networks and resources, are able to function in their daily lives and can benefit from custom outpatient services.
Our programs can be designed to support you following another intensive therapy experience, including inpatient programs.

These programs range from two to nine hours per week and can be tailored to a number of different concerns and goals. We can work together one-on-one, as a group, or with other collaborators and creative resources within and beyond the Connections team.

Our clients can work with our service team to create individualized therapy programs.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1.Reach out and tell us what you need. We’ll schedule a consultation with someone especially skilled in our areas of interest, and we’ll decide who is a best fit for you.

2.We decide a care plan. How much therapy do you want? What approach sounds interesting to you? Do you want the privacy of one-to-one sessions, the dynamics of a group, or a mix of both? Mix and match a la carte services for a plan that assures, empowers, and excites you.

3.We get to know you. We want to understand everything we can about you, what is working for you and what isn’t. We are going to find your motivation wherever it is at the moment.

4.We work together for as long as we need, adapting your care plan as we go. In time you may want more or less therapy, or prefer to switch from individual sessions to a group setting. Or maybe we decide our time together is done.

You can be more than you ever imagined.

Let’s figure out what “more” looks like for you, so you can find meaning and thrive in your day-to-day life.
