Meet Steve Rosen, LSW, MBA
Steve works with individuals, couples, families, and groups with a positive, goal-oriented, solution-focused approach. He collaborates actively with clients to bolster their motivations and confidence, broaden their perspectives and sense of self, enhance relationships and support networks, and to function better in day-to-day life. He draws from his broad-based education and experience, and incorporates approaches from relational, cognitive behavioral, family systems, and other motivation, insight and change oriented treatment models.
Steve’s experience includes anxiety and mood concerns, premarital, marital, sibling, and extended family relationships, issues and decision-making about school, work, and family businesses, parenting teenagers and young adults, and grief and life transitions. He enjoys working with high school, college and graduate students, and highly diverse individuals ranging widely in age from adolescence through older adults.
Steve has professional and leadership experience in consulting, software development, and social service sectors. He creates and organizes business and clinical conferences, professional trainings, groups, and other programs. He also leads and mentors teams participating in new business and social entrepreneurship.
Steve became a therapist as a second career but a first passion, going back to his roots and volunteer experiences in counseling and program development with children and adolescents in school, camp, and home settings. He completed his Master’s degree with a clinical concentration at University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. His prior degrees include an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BA from Brown University.
