Adult ADHD Assessments That See The Whole You.

You may have spent years wondering why your brain works the way it does – why some things feel effortless, while others take everything you may have.

If you’ve been curious whether ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) might explain some of these obstacles around focus, organization, or follow-through, an assessment can help offer clarity and direction.

In an Adult ADHD assessment, you’ll receive clear, timely, and thoughtful feedback to help you better understand and appreciate your unique neurobiology and, when appropriate, a written summary with practical recommendations to support next steps in treatment, school, work, or daily life. The goal is greater understanding, self-compassion, and confidence moving forward.

  • Evidence-based rating scales completed by you and, when helpful, a family member or observer
  • Screening for related concerns (such as anxiety, depression, trauma, learning differences)
  • Integrated feedback with individualized recommendations
  • Recommendations for therapy, coaching, medication, and accommodations
  • Optional written summary for sharing with healthcare providers, school, or employers
How can an ADHD assessment help me?2026-07-09T16:09:46+00:00

An assessment can help you:

  • Clarify whether ADHD is contributing to challenges related to attention, impulsivity, and executive functioning
  • Better understand skills such as organization, time management, focus, planning, and emotional regulation
  • Differentiate ADHD from stress, anxiety, trauma, burnout, or learning differences
  • Reduce self-blame and gain clearer insight into what’s really happening
  • Receive tailored recommendations for therapy
  • Explore documentation for academic or workplace accommodations
Are there limitations of an ADHD assessment?2026-08-12T19:02:19+00:00

An ADHD assessment is not designed to diagnose learning disabilities, test for IQ, evaluate memory, or provide comprehensive neuropsychological testing. It is also not intended for disability determinations, court-ordered evaluations, or fitness-for-duty evaluations.

Accommodation recommendations may be provided when clinically appropriate, but schools, employers, licensing boards, and testing agencies make the final accommodation decisions and may require additional documentation.

Although our goal is to provide diagnostic clarity regarding ADHD, some individuals may present with concerns that extend beyond the scope of this evaluation. If the psychologist determines that a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation would better answer your questions, this recommendation will be discussed with you, and appropriate referral options will be provided.

Like any healthcare decision, we believe it’s important for you to know what to expect. Can I use my insurance?2026-08-05T19:11:49+00:00

ADHD assessments are covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and NUSHIP, where you’ll only be responsible for your co-insurance. If you have a different insurance provider, you can submit the assessment bill directly to them for out-of-network reimbursement. Self-pay is also accepted for those preferring to handle payment out of pocket.
