Meet Lauren Koby, PsyD
Lauren is an experienced licensed clinical psychologist, dedicated to helping individuals across the lifespan find support, understanding, and meaningful change. She offers compassionate, personalized care for people with diverse backgrounds navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, adverse childhood experiences and other trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, perinatal concerns, and life transitions.
Lauren’s therapeutic style is anchored in a relational approach, creating an empathetic, nonjudgmental, and collaborative environment for people to explore their unique identities and strengths, address challenges, and work toward healing, change and resilience. She thoughtfully integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), acceptance and mindfulness approaches, and attachment-based and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) in her work with children, adolescents, and adults.
Lauren earned her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She received her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, with a focus in forensic psychology, from The University of Denver, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Central Florida. Lauren received specialized training in child and teen populations in hospitals, therapeutic day schools, and community mental health centers, and is experienced with providing comprehensive psychological evaluations. She is enthusiastic about the evolving field of clinical psychology, drawing on evidence-based approaches to support her clients’ growth and wellbeing.
Lauren is licensed in Illinois and is authorized to practice telepsychology through PSYPACT, allowing her to provide services to clients in more than 40 states.
