Executive Functioning Group
Practical support for planning, focus, and follow-through. Registration will open soon!
You’re smart, capable, and putting in the effort — so why does it still feel like you’re constantly struggling to keep up?
Executive functioning refers to the set of mental skills that help us plan, organize, initiate tasks, manage time, and regulate emotions in the service of our goals — your brain’s “management system.” Even highly capable, high-achieving students can find this system strained by the jump to a new level of demands and independence.
This group starts from a simple premise: most of what looks like a discipline problem is actually a systems problem, and systems can be built and practiced. You’ll identify your own 2-3 target areas early on, then spend each session learning and immediately practicing one concrete strategy — not just talking about it.

Each week, you’ll learn and immediately practice one skill:
- Identify your personal executive functioning strengths and challenges, and set your own goals for the group
- Build one trusted system for capturing tasks and commitments, so nothing falls through the cracks
- Organize the physical or digital space causing you the most stress, and learn to break down tasks that feel too big to start
- Learn your real attention span (usually shorter than you think) and a technique for handling distraction without losing the thread
