Building Connection and Resilience
A support group for developing a flexible and open mindset
This skill-building and support group is meant to supplement individual therapy for those diagnosed with chronic depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and OCD traits. The group incorporates skills from RO DBT, ACT, and positive psychology to improve capacities for emotional and cognitive flexibility, social connection, effective communication, and emotional awareness, regulation, and expressiveness.

Jessica Acosta, LCPC
Jessica is experienced working with children, adolescents, college students, and young adults, providing individual, couple, family, and group therapy. Her areas of focus are anxiety, OCD, depression and mood disorders, social and interpersonal concerns, eating disorders and body image, ADHD, and substance use. She has expertise with developmental and interpersonal trauma, grief and loss, and PTSD.
Lisa Howard, LCSW
Lisa is experienced working with adolescents, college and graduate students with anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders and body image concerns, identity development, and issues in work or school such as ADHD, organization, and perfectionism. She has a special interest in working with individuals and families on issues of gender and sexuality, including parents of LGBTQ+ individuals.
